Adhesive Photoluminescent Tapes - These "glow-in-the-dark" tapes are energized by a new, long-lived photo-luminescent mineral (strontium oxide aluminate) that is non-toxic & non-radioactive. These photoluminescent tapes are 9 mils thick (9/1000") and charge fully with only 5 minutes exposure to light. Any type of light will charge the tape, but sunlight, halogen, xenon, & fluorescent lights work best. They can be recharged nearly an indefinite number of times and can last as long as 20 years. They are used for marking light switches, instruments, controls, steps and handrails in stairways, emergency exits, and evacuation corridors - anything important to see when the lights go out. These tapes are adhesive with a peel-off backing, so be sure to apply only to clean, dry, oil free surfaces that are above 50°F. Apply only in straight lines or spiral wraps on a hoop. High-energy Long-life Photoluminescent Tape has amazing photoluminescence. It is brighter and longer-lived than anything we have ever seen. Value for brightness after 10 minutes in darkness is 179 mcd/lux/sq.m. (a typical photoluminescent tape has a brightness of 30 millicandelas/lux/sq.m.). Glows up to twelve (12) hours with gradually diminishing brightness. Can be used outdoors, but intense sun will shorten lifespan to the range of 3 - 6 months. Long-life Photoluminescent Tape (US made) - Not quite as bright as our High-energy Long-life, but is tested to meet requirements of ASTM E 2072-00, et al, and MIL-L-3891B for photoluminescent safety markings, Glows up to ten (10) hours with gradually diminishing brightness. This tape is UV resistant and is good for long-term outdoor use (years).
Non-skid Photoluminescent Tread Tape (US made) has a non-slip grippy surface and is ideal for stairs and steps. It exceeds OSHA safety standards and meets Motor Vehicle Safety Standard #302, MIL-D-17951C (for ships), ASTM E 2030-2, 2072-00, and 2073-02 and adheres to painted wood, bare or painted metal, sealed concrete, and most any non-porous surface. 17-mil thickness w/o liner.
